L'Ours Polaire is ideally located: 

* 5 min from the village of Saint-Gervais by car

* 6 min from ski slopes and hiking trails by car

* 10 min from the valley by car

Easy access:

The chalet is easily accessible from several major cities.

Just 1 hour's drive from Geneva airport and around 2 hours from Lyon, it offers quick access for those who want to get away from it all without having to travel too far.

Saint-Gervais also has a train station with regular connections to Chamonix and other Alpine towns.

Close to the village of Saint-Gervais :

The chalet is just a 5-minute drive from the charming village of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. This picturesque village, both lively and authentic, offers everything you need for a pleasant stay: shops, local markets, restaurants serving Savoyard specialties, and of course, the famous Thermes de Saint-Gervais.

You'll have easy access to all amenities, while enjoying the peace and quiet offered by the chalet's slightly secluded location.

NB: It's best to get here by car, as our position close to the slopes means we're only accessible by mountain roads, which aren't necessarily suitable for pedestrians.

What's more, the difference in altitude is 200 meters, so the ascent could be tiring with children.​​
 

Close to ski slopes and hiking trails:

The chalet is just a few minutes from the ski lifts that lead directly to the slopes of the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area. With over 400 km of slopes for all levels, this is one of the largest ski areas in France.

There are two ways to get to the slopes:

** Drive up and park in the free parking lot at the foot of the Bettex slopes. 

The roads are cleared of snow and salt, but snow tires or chains are compulsory from November 1 to March 31.

** Take the skibus which picks you up at the end of the garden. Timetables vary from year to year, but stops are frequent.

An exceptional panorama:

Situated high up, the chalet offers breathtaking views of the Mont-Blanc massif and surrounding valleys. This idyllic setting allows you to enjoy magnificent sunrises and sunsets over the mountains, as well as a peaceful atmosphere in the middle of nature.

Summer and winter activities:

As well as skiing in winter, the region offers a multitude of activities all year round.

In summer, you can enjoy hiking for all levels, mountain biking, paragliding and via ferrata.

The region is also renowned for its spas and wellness centers, including the famous Thermes de Saint-Gervais, just 15 minutes away, perfect for relaxing after a day's activities.
